Christmas party 2008

Thank you everyone who helped out this holiday season with the 5th annual 145 kids christmas party! There was plenty to eat and lots of presents! We had lots of volunteers: especially Agnes, Monica, Jenn, Darlene and the Unlabelled girls/elves, Laura, Clemencia and our tenant rep Susan Gapka for all of the great cooking, running around, shopping, planning, and present wrapping.
Special thanks again to Monica, Jenn, and Susan for help with the turkey drive and Denise Whitter for the holiday baskets.
We will do it all again next year...lol

April 17th, 2009 SJA gives back

The students in the social justice program welcomed the 145 kids once again for a second round of fun and games at the Ryerson Gym on Friday night. The kids ran the students ragged and everyone was tired, but very happy with the outing. They have promised to bring us back next year...

May 15th, 2009 barbeque on the rooftop

We had a lot of fun in the sun up on the rooftop at 145 Mutual. Over 60 kids from our community celebrated the spring at our annual May barbeque. Community Matters Love of Words kids, Unlabelled girls group, 145 kids, JDAP afterschool program kids feasted on hotdogs, hamburgers, spring rolls, chicken with noodles, salad and rice and tandori style chicken. We ate freezies and popcicles for dessert!

Thanks to Monica, agnes, Sakina, Jenn, Ali and Sofia, Wilfredo, and all of the volunteers for a great job.
